Take a deeper look at the autopsy. Why was he shot? What might have provoked someone to shoot him instead of simply robbing the diamond? Was this a planned occurrence or a likely accident?
Why would he reinsure something recently? Was he in financial difficulties? What might have given him the idea to do this and what could he have gained from doing so? Perhaps it could have solved an issue for him.
Have their been other burglaries in the area? Is there anything to suggest that they might have been an ‘inside job’ to gain money from the insurance companies? What might this have to do with Philip?
There was a silver snake earring found in the crime scene; Does this pin any of the main suspects to the crime scene? Who else might have been involved in a likely staged robbery?
Think who might have a limp and why they would have also been pinned to the crime scene? What could their role have been in the incident?
